Our Mission |
|
Any corporation that wants to "stay on course" adopts a mission statement
that summarizes the organization's values and purposes. Likewise, each church should be
able to communicate the important and unique mission that it strives to fulfill.

When Jesus was on the earth, He gave a "mission statement" to His followers,
commonly known as the Great Commission:

"So you must go and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And you can be sure that I am always with you, to the very end."
(Matthew 28:19-20)

At Good News Family Church, we have adopted a mission statement that mirrors Jesus'
Great Commission:

"Reaching out to the lost with God's love, and strengthening them to
reach others."
|
|
| This brief statement helps us as we "run our race", knowing that every
service we conduct, every dollar we spend, and every activity we hold is in line with our
God-given purpose. |
