How To Get Involved At Good News Family Church
Perhaps you've heard the story about the chicken and the pig who both signed up to help
with the church breakfast. On the surface it looked like they were both sacrificing
equally, but when everybody showed up to enjoy the ham & eggs breakfast, it was clear
that the chicken had made a contribution but the pig made a commitment.
It takes committed help to make Good News Family Church everything God wants it to be and
that means everyone needs to be involved, taking their place and doing their part to help
the ministry operate at its full potential. We don't beg for volunteers. Working for God
in any capacity, be it the children's workers or the cleaning crew, is a privilege, not a
chore. People who attend Good News Family Church are encouraged to take steps to become
involved in our various ministries and outreaches so we can together do our part in
building God's Kingdom.
To get involved at Good News Family Church, we recommend the following:

Membership Class - A one-session, two-hour
class outlining the vision and mission of Good News Family Church. Open to anyone (ages 13
and up) who regularly attends GNFC. This class is offered a few times a year - watch for
announcements!

Foundations Class - This six-week course
always starts the week following the membership class and is an exciting spiritual journey
designed to teach and reinforce the basics of the Christian Faith.

Ministry of Helps - Church members who have
enrolled in or completed the foundations class are encouraged to find their place of
service for God within the local church. Areas of ministry include nursery and children's
workers, youth helpers, ushers, greeters, audio, housekeeping, and much more. (see Volunteer Opportunities)
